Meet Alexandra
Canadian Certified Counsellor- Supervisor (CCC-S)
Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC)
Hi! I'm Alexandra.
I offer therapy for adults, youth, children, and families across BC, with sessions available outdoors or virtually.
My approach is relational, trauma-informed, and grounded in curiosity, compassion, and humour. I believe therapy works best when there is room to be human, for the big feelings and tangled thoughts, but also the awkward moments, unexpected laughter, and everything in between. We move at your pace, with attention to safety, choice, and what feels supportive along the way.
Outside of therapy, I'm usually wandering somewhere outdoors, tending to an ever-growing collection of plants, reading, experimenting with flavours, or attempting, with mixed results, to teach my two part-time cats tricks. I'm drawn to trees, mossy trails, riverbanks, interesting people, and the small details that make life feel layered and curious. Those same qualities curiosity, connection, humour, and a willingness to notice what's happening beneath the surface, inevitably find their way into my work.
Whether you're navigating trauma, overwhelm, burnout, grief, relationship or identity changes, or simply have the sense that something needs to shift, you don't have to arrive knowing exactly where to begin.
Not sure where to start?
A complementary 20-minute consultation is a gentle, no-pressure way to connect, talk about what you're looking for, and see whether working together feels like a good fit. If you prefer in office we can discuss available options.

My Approach
Relational, grounded, and nature-informed - with room for humour when it helps.
Relational and attuned
The relationship is at the heart of the work. You can show up with tangled thoughts, heavy emotions, awkward silences, uncertainty, or unexpected jokes, all of it belongs.
We follow your pace, your comfort, and your internal rhythm.
Paced for you. Therapy does not require you to be brave on command. You can come exactly as you are, and we will begin there.
Nature-informed
Nature can offer grounding, metaphor, sensory regulation, and gentle movement. For many people, being outside creates a little more space to breathe, reflect, and settle.
You do not have to love nature, or even feel particularly outdoorsy, to benefit from this work. Sometimes simply being outside helps things feel softer, less confined, and a little easier to approach.
Trauma-informed
Being trauma-informed means honouring:
-
safety
-
choice
-
pacing
-
consent
-
your nervous system
Your "no" matters. Your "slow down" matters.
Your story unfolds on your timeline, not mine.
Somatic Awareness
Feelings often show up in the body before they find words. Part of our work may include noticing breath, posture, sensation, tension, and the ways your system communicates what it needs.
No forced mindfulness, just gentle awareness.
Curiosity, creativity, and humour
Healing does not have to be solemn all the time. Sometimes curiosity, creativity, imagination, or humour opens doors that seriousness alone cannot.
With adults, this may look like a moment of levity in the middle of something heavy. With children and youth, it often means play, movement, and room for the unexpected.

Acknowledgements
I acknowledge that my work through Seasons Within takes place on the unceded, traditional territories of the Kwantlen, Katzie, Matsqui, and Semiahmoo First Nations. I offer this acknowledgement with respect for the land, the waterways, and the Indigenous Peoples who have cared for them since time immemorial—and as an invitation to ongoing reflection, responsibility, relationship, and action.
I also recognize that the communities now known as British Columbia have been shaped by Black and Asian people whose labour, leadership, resistance, culture, and care have often been overlooked or erased. Many have built lives here while navigating racism, exclusion, displacement, and systemic barriers. These histories are distinct, but interconnected through systems of colonialism and oppression that continue to affect people’s lives and wellbeing. I remain committed to learning from these histories and to creating a counselling practice grounded in cultural humility, anti-racism, accountability, and respect
